While the Pure Project Miramar Brewery & Taproom will always be the place where one of San Diego’s most sustainably-minded, independent, craft brewers established its roots, they were in need of more space for operational improvements. The local brewery decided to transplant their headquarters to Vista and include a taproom at a new location that allows them to increase their production, create workflow efficiencies, and provide a friendly community environment for beer enthusiasts to stop by and try some brews.

Pure Project can also build upon their sustainability goals at the new Vista facility. A few initiatives they plan to implement include:

  • Using a grain silo that reduces the transportation of grain bags and requires less packaging
  • Installing solar panels to offset their power usage
  • Using a CO2 Recapture System that will allow them to reduce carbon emissions by capturing the carbon dioxide created during fermentation and putting it back into the beer when it's time to package and serve

The grand opening event celebrated in late July showcased a delightful space, drink selection, and ambiance. Event goers like Edible San Diego’s publisher, Katie Stokes, enjoyed flavorful Pure Project stouts on tap and gyros from Spinning Meats Catering

The taproom is conveniently open seven days a week and the team at Pure Project is looking forward to seeing you. Follow them at @purebrewingvista for additional details.
